Tom Cruise Americanizes German Hero
In the Film "Valkyrie" Mr. Tom Cruise is started as the german hero Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg, who attempted and failed to assasinate Adolf Hitler. Although his skills in acting is great. Most of the local people from germany are complaining about their german hero turning more into an american hero. Stauffenberg was a german hero for his honor to his nation, not to his leader. Due to his weak german accent German Viewers have complained that Cruise didn't portray the real Stauffenberg as he really is. "Our kids will confuse fact from film." said a concerned parent. "We want to keep our history the same, not make them into action heros." Though I don't know much about german culture, I believe Cruise did a good job in the film.
