Crisis in Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo has been going through mass tragedy and death for nearly a decade now. There have been devastating effects on the Congos population. There most recent war which raged from 1998-2002 caused massive amounts of death along with the rebels and government still fighting over control. Since 1998, 3.9 million people have died in the congo, with less than 10 percent dieing from violence but more from preventable diseases susch as malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. And with the 3.9 million body count, this makes congo arguably the biggest crisis since world war 2.

  1. Dying sucks. It would be even worse to die of something like diarrhea.

  2. I didn't know this was going on. You would think everyone would know about it if it was the biggest crisis since World War II. Sad...
