In January, the U.S. Army lost more soldiers to suicide than to al-Quida forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. There were seven confirmed suicides, and 17 deaths that they suspected were suicides. These include four from Fort Campbell, a base in Kentucky, soldiers who have returned home, and on-duty soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to the Statesman Journal, more soldiers have commited suicide in one month than is the norm for a year.
I think the soldiers are under so much stress. They are going insane and getting shell shock! :(
ReplyDeleteI agree with Amanda they are under so much stress. Depression is another crisis, they're away frm their families and friends and people are always dieing around them.
ReplyDeleteI can agree with what u said and what Amanda said the soldiers r under so much stress and what they see that we dont normally see is a big factor on the commited suicides and bein in so much shock.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like to much to handle!
