Rod Blagojevich was removed from office on January 29th, 2009 for attempting to sell President Barack Obama's vacant senator seat and various other political controversies.
Blagojevich was arrested on December 9th, 2009 for federal corruption. He was soliciting bribery as well as mail and wire fraud. He was attempting to sell President Barack Obama's seat in the Illinois state senate. After further investigating they were made aware of many other conspiracies that Blagojevich was involved in. The state house voted 114 to 1 to impeach Blagojevich on December 9, 2008. All 59 state senators found Blagojevich guilty and voted unanimously to remove him from office. Eventually they voted again, resulting in Blagojevich never being able to hold public office again.

Wow how did he become so high in power in the first place? It just goes to show not everyone can be trusted
