Maine football coach resigns after accidentally posting naked photo of himself on Facebook

Maine high school football coach resignes after accidently posting nude photo on facebook. The coach/teacher was "friends" on facebook with some of his students and athletes.
This raises the issue, should teachers be able to be friends with current students or future students? I believe yes, this is an isolated incident that has occured. It is up to the schools though, if facebook does start to compromise the student teacher relationship then schools should deal with the issue accordingly. For now it can be used as a valid resource for teachers to remind students about tests and home work, since students are far more likely to be on facebook rather than doing their home work.

  1. "Accidentally" posting a nude picture of himself? Wow. That's disappointing.

  2. I agree. Coaches should be able to be friends with students if they choose to. The coach was just dumb enough be posting nude pictures of himself. You can't expect every coach to be that irresponsible.

  13. I agree that coaches should be able to be friends on Facebook if they choose too. Not all coaches are that irresponsible. This was just one case.
