Fart Joke Leads To Bomb Scare: Student Harold Wayne Hadley Arrested In Mississippi

19 year old Harold W. Hadley, Jr. was arrested for "plotting" a bomb attack on his Junior College in Mississippi, after writing a phrase on a piece of toilet paper containing the word "bomb".  I think for someone to be arrested and held for bail at $20,000 for a little bathroom horseplay is ludicrous. According to the article Harold was doodling on some toilet paper in the restroom in the library at Jones County Junior College. When somebody came in and found the piece of toilet paper they reported it to a teacher who recognized the hand writing and blew the whole thing out of proportion, as 11 emergence agencies responded. This is to funny if you ask me, but in all seriousness I think this is blown out of proportion like the article says. I also think that reporting this as a bomb threat was unnecessary and a waste of time.

  1. This is funny that someone wrote on a piece of toilet paper talking about a bomb, and getting arrested for just a saying bomb.

  3. That is pretty funny but how was the student that found the paper suppose to know that Harold was talking about "farting". I also think that the punishment he is getting for his joke is a little to harsh.

  4. I am in agreement. It's pretty absurd that harmless --though immature, especially considering his age-- joking would be interpreted as something as severe as a bomb scare. People are just ridiculous these days.

  6. This is rediculous to get arrested for writing the word bomb on a piece of toilet paper. This situation was definitely blown out of proportion.

  12. I think it was a waste of time to call in a bomb threat. But pretty weird that he was doodling on TP.

  13. I think they just took time and wasted it by calling it a bomb threat and a big deal when in all realness and reality they could have just talked to the kid first about it. I'm sure. This is ignorant.
