Grant High School Hazing

Grant High School Hazing
Have you been a part of a hazing act?  Do you know of hazing happening at a school, to a person, to a loved one?  Last spring a JV basketball, had an incident that was reported by the student a while later and the upperclassmen responsible were kicked off the basketball team.  This incident of hazing was during a 7th period gym class were a younger student was pinned down by upperclassmen and was being attacked and during this attack the students tried to use their finger to puncture his anus through his pants as a joke.  However this was no joke and just plane wrong.  Hazing must be stopped because it does nothing good for another person.
The upperclassmen were identified after the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend by the student and were kicked off the basketball team along with not being able to participate in anymore activities involving the school such as sports.  The schools members have been trying to resolve this problem and make it better for the assaulted student.  However the next week after the incident the student has transferred schools do to the attack.
The school has been leading talks about bullying and hazing in their classes to make an impact on students to stop these attacks.  As the school continues to try to influence their students that this is wrong coaches all around are cracking down on this situation and are doing their best to stop these acts.  The students are still banned from activities but the rest of the students at the school are looking to move forward past this event and make a better reputation for their school.

  1. I think they should have done more than just not let him play sports at school, that in my eyes is close to sexual harrassment too. I think he should have had a little more punishment bullying and hazing is bad enough you know?

  2. Why would someone do this? Doing this is just plain wrong and should have heavy consequences.

    1. Agreed! Because I can understand the slapping butts in baseball and stuff, I mean that has been around forever but hazing just takes it too far.

  6. Hazing should be against the law. Did the kids really not get suspended from school or anything?
Come on, this should be such a serious issue.
That boy got touched in places I'm sure he didn't want to be touched.
    Can you say sexual harrassment?
Dumb, they should make this a serious situation especially sense the one that is always gonna remember this and be emotionally affected by it is the boy that this happened to.
