Mr. Abunadi-Y2K

Mr. Abunadi spoke of the Y2K bug to which he recalls people freaking out over the lack of technology. The thought made people think the world was going to end and made them crazy. He told me that people were stocking up on supplies to last them through the hard times that were to come which Mr. Abunadi thought was hilarious because on January 1st, 2000 life went on with the computers still up and running. “It was just another day” He said about the outcome of the New Year.
The Y2K bug was a global scare that put people in fear that all technology worldwide would shut down. Airplanes would rain from the sky, trains would collide, computers would black out, the stock market would crash and more tyranny would be caused by the failure of technology. Many company companies sold programs to prevent the Y2K bug in the years previous to the change of the millennium hoping to save the world. Out of fear people stocked up on necessities to get themselves and their loved ones through the failure. As many people partied welcoming the new millennium others hid away with copious amounts of supplies just to awake the next day to the same world they fell asleep to.
