- In the month of October Nigeria marks 50 years of independence. And celebrations in Abuja marred by deadly bomb blasts.
- Month of November- Nigeria intercepts arms shipments from Iran, reports find to UN security council. And presidential election were scheduled for January but, got pushed back to April.
- In December- Christmas Eve bomb attacked happen and kills more than 30 people near the city central of Jos.
