In the 6th grade this is the most memorable thing before 9/11 that happened. I remember sitting in class watching a cnn news clip of how devastation it was. It made me cry seeing the pet stories of how people had to leave their animals behind. And all the damage that happened plus watching relief commercials of people just having the basics was just crushing.
How sad that must have been
