American citizens fleeing the bloody rebellion in Libya today spoke of the traumatic scenes they had witnessed before they left the country.
As a ferry carrying hundreds of Americans trapped in Tripoli landed in Malta and a plane filled with evacuees landed in Turkey, evacuees brought stories of carnage from the streets of Tripoli.

They spoke of children shot with high velocity weapons, helicopters attacking protesters and random shootings of innocent civilians.
