First organ Transplant

Celebrating homecoming of the 1950s I would like to talk about the first human internal organ transplant. The first organ transplant was a kidney in 1954 by J. H. Harrison and Joesph Murray in Boston, Mass. but unfortunately the recipient died eight years later. Now what I want to ask you, is if you were the patient would you do this experimental surgery just so you can live eight more years?, and were do you think we would be without organ transplants?

  1. I would do this surgery because I would want to live for another eight years. And I think there would be a less people alive if we didn't have kidney transplants because they can help save a lot of people.

  2. no i would not do this experiment just to live eight more years. if i were dying and had no chance of living longer than 8 years i would come to terms with the fact that im dying im gonna be dead.
