Her husband killed her when she was meeting up with the divorce attorney. The following Tuesday night Travis Kendall killed himself. "According to Frasier, 22-year-old Ashley Kendall is in extremely critical condition after the bullet entered her upper back and exited her chest." Travis was sent to jail in October and when he was released from jail he was not to have any contact with Ashley Kendall.
Why would a husband want to kill his wife, just because she wants a divorce? She has every right to divorce the man and I can kind of see why she wanted to.

People are ridiculous. She has a right to be happy in her life. Now that she tried, that chance is completely obliterated by the stupid choices of another person. Grr
