Record breaking snow storms strike around the world

Today, the northern hemisphere experienced record snowfall. From China to Russia, much of Western Europe, and even the US plains, are feeling the freeze. This cold front has already killed dozens in India and Poland counted 13 deaths due to the -13F temperatures. Seoul, South Korea was covered in 10in of snow yesterday, the heaviest since records began in 1937. Burlington, Vermont had a snow fall of 33in in a single weekend. Beijing authorities had to clear more than 300,000 people from the streets after Sunday's blizzard dumped 3in of snow – the most in January since 1951. Many officials are concerned about possible crop damage and fuel production shortages.
