13000 dead from H1N1 worldwide

The World Health Organization (WHO) said that fatalities were labratory confrimed but actual mortality from the pandemic will be much higher. The most active areas of H1N1 are in parts of central, eastern, and southeastern Europe, North Africa and South Asia. In North Africa and West Asia, limited data suggests influenza transmission remains active. Although West Asia may have already experienced a peak in influenza activity, parts of North Africa are experiencing respiratory disease activity.
