75 peopl were killed from mudslides. The mudslides were caused by torrential rains. This took place on the southeast coast of Brazil. "Dozens of people were killed when a large part of a mountain collapsed as mud Friday, sliding into the upscale Sankay Inn resort in Angra dos Reis, two hours west of Rio de Janeiro." 3 more inches of rain has accumulated in the western parts of Rio. About 350 people are homeless from these mudslides and floods.

More people are being found under the mud. 49 people have been killed in the state of Rio do Janeiro, Brazil. "Some 1,300 people have been left homeless, and about 20 people are still missing." Petropolis is the area thats been hit the worst and becuase of this its been cut off from the other states.
