Gagnam Style shootout; Sal Paulo Truce is Over

In Bangkok in mid September, a couple kids from rival teenage gangs fired at least 50 shots, after a dance-off to the song "Gangnam Style". A member from each gang comfronted eachother with the moves mimicing PSY, a Korean performer who sang and danced to the hit song "Gangnam Style". The kids got really drunk, after a night of partying and drinking, and the dance-off got taken way to seriously as the two groups of kids fired on eachother. There were many vehicles damaged, but no people were harmed.

In Sao Paulo a six year truce between rival gangs has been ended. A local shopkeeper Vanuza Alves da Silva says has seen a surge in killings in her slum neighborhood. Seven people were killed in a single night last week, including a police officer and a 13 year old boy. Sao Paulo is set to host the World Cup opening match in 2014. There have been around 150 homicides, and 94 police killed in Sao Paulo just this year.
