Are Parents Turning A Blind Eye Towards Bullying?

It seems to me as parents are making a pretty big deal out of 'bullying' when I think it could possibly be their own fault. Its a great idea to encourage kids to be themselves but they also should be within the norms of society. Like parents who let their kids pick out what they want to wear. That's fine. But when a little boy says "Mommy can I wear some of Sally's clothes?" Don't you find that a little odd? I mean sure it's cute but as a parent you correct them and show them the options so that LATER in life they can make their own decisions.
