Streets surrounding the parliament were closed off by officials. Later, an explosive device detonated inside of an installation for garbage disposal. There were no casualties. Someone also called the police reporting that one bomb was placed outside of the parliament and another inside The Hotel Grande Bretagne near parliament. Law enforcement officers carefully searched the area but police don't think the reports were credible.

The World's Tallest Building Has Now Opened...
In Dubai! It has 60 stories and it stands at 828 meters high. 90% of the space has been sold but they don't know how many apartments or offices will be inhabited.
They call it Burj Khalifa. Dubai's biggest developer almost went into a huge debt default, except for the fact that Abu Dhabi's million dollar bailout prevented it. Perhaps that's why the building was named after him.
It cost $22 dollars to build.
Do you think it was worth it?

Future not decided for stuck Mars Rover
One of the Mars Rovers Spirit, that has been on Mars for six years, has gotten stuck in a sand trap. Scientists say it is almost impossible to get out and the rover wont last a martian winter unless it can get pointed to the sun. Scientists are not giving up though. Fortunately for researchers, what may turn out to be Spirit's final resting spot looks like a scientific bonanza. The sand is rich in sulfate, a mineral that forms in the presence of water, researchers say.

Dubai opens tallest building.
On Monday, Dubai opened the tallest building, with a dramatic fireworks ceremony. The building is 828 meters (2,716 ft). It is 319 meters taller than the last record holding building, Taipei 101. "The upper 30 or 40 floors are so tiny that they're useless, so they can't use them for anything else apart from storage. They've built a small, not so useful storage warehouse half a mile in the sky," Jim Krane, author of "City of Gold: Dubai and the Dream of Capitalism" told CNN in a recent interview.
The building is named Burj Khalif. Burj Khalifa will be home to 1,044 luxury apartments, 49 floors of offices and eventually a 160-room Armani-branded hotel. Around 12,000 people are expected to live and work in the tower, which is part of a 500-acre development. It is said that Burj Khalifa could mark the end of an era for skyscrapers...at least for a while.

Oops, Army Drones Get Hacked
Apparently Iraqi have been using $26 software to hack the systems of Us Military Predator Drones. They can use software such as Skygrabber, developed in Russia and intended to download music and videos from the Internet, to intercept video being transmit ed from the UAVs. The drones being one of the most effective weapons in the military's armory, it allows pilots to remotely observe combat zones and identify targets, as well as launch guided missiles to destroy high value targets. But if the insurgents are able to see what the drone is seeing it allows them to take evasive action.
http://www.wonderhowto.com/wonderment/iraqi-insurgents-hack-u-s-drones-with-26-dollar-download-0113691/
So far there is no evidence of militants being able to control the drones or interfere with their systems. But the intercepts show the emergence of a cyber-conflict within the war overseas, and is further evidence of insurgents continuing to find simple ways of countering complex military technology.
