Restricted visitation rights.

The amount of people infected by the H1N1 flu suprised hospitals, so they decided to limit the visitation rights to the infected people. The restriction includes those in labor and delivery, or in the pediatric and neonatal intensive care units because they are at highest risk of getting the H1N1 flu virus.

On Tuesday a lawyer for the Justice Department revealed that Stewart Nozette, a scientist who for the last decade has worked with NASA on many top secret defense programs, tried to sell information to and undercover FBI agent posing as an Israeli Intelligence officer.

Australia may withdraw troops

Australia may withdraw its troops in Afghanistan early as recommended by the Defence Minister John Faulkner. The BBC's Nick Bryant in Sydney says the troop withdrawal could still be years away. They also say they will not send additional troops.

VP Biden lands in Romania


Wednesday, Vice President Joe Biden visited Bucharest, Romania one day after arriving in Warsaw to secure Poland's approval for a new U.S. anti-missile system. Bucharest is part of the three-nation tour Biden is taking to reafirm the U.S. partnerships with countires of eastern Europe. Romania was previously not under the first antimissile defense system and accepted the new plan. Prague is next on the tour.

Cyprus's new airport

Three men died in the Detroit marathon located in Detroit Michigan. All three of them died between 9-9:20 A.M.
The older man died at a hospital after falling and hitting his head during the race, he was 60. The younger two men collapsed during the run and also died at hospitals. They were ages 26 and 36.

Media Hoax

The boy that was believed to be in a home made hot air balloon floating away from the house was really hiding in the attic. After investigations by police officials, they concluded that the ordeal was nothing but a media hoax. Now the parents face felony charges.

Five men have been found guilty in of conspiring to commit terrorist attacks

5 men in Sydney, Australia were found guilty of conspiring to commit terrorist attacks. They were convicted on charges of possessing bomb-making instructions and explosives chemicals. Prosecutors said the men were arrested in home raids and planned to commit violence to alter Australia's policy on the Middle East.

Schools in Diyarbakir closed form swine flu

All the schools in Diyarbakir, Turkey were closed from a swine flu outbreak. They were closed for a week with six students and teacher testing possitive for swine flu. Turkeys' Health Ministry is pushing people to get their swine flu vaccines.

Crash Landing on the Moon

The West coast with be used by scientists to view a test experiment by NASA. NASA will be spending $79 million on this project. They are sending out an Atlas V rocket on a collision course in search of water. Once the rocket hits the moon, the blast will cause a mile high cloud of debris that should be visible from Earth. Even then you won't be able to see the impact with the naked eye, so you will need telescopes or binoculars. By doing this, scientists believe that this will help in their search of water on the moon.

Russia's moratorium that was established 13 years ago will expire in the next year. Currently there are many debates about whether the death penalty should be kept and lawmakers have not been able to pass legislation regarding it.

8-year-old Raped!!

An 8-year girl was raped and her throat was slashed and she was left to die.
14 hours later some kids found her and she was rushed to the hospital and able to get a sketch drawn of the rapist. He is now identified.
She is now 27 and pressing charges.

Swine Flu Spreads in Minnesota

Last wednesday the number of schools in Minnesota reporting outbreaks of swine flu jumped from 125 to 215. Also the percentage of people that went to the doctor for flu like symptoms
doubled. It jumped from 5% to 11.4%

Second Attempt to Stop Oil leak Fails

For two months now an oil leak from a drilling platform has been leaking oil into the Australian coast. Environmental groups have warned that the oil is threatening wildlife, including endangered turtles. This is Australia's worst oil spill in 25 years.

A beehive van crashed in Turkey. Ambulance truck had to come and aid people who had been stung by the swarm of bees that escaped. Only one person died in the crash, and five were injured.

Africa offering to sell uranium to Iran

Islamic Republic’s National Security Council, reported that South Africa even offered to sell uranium oxide concentrate to Iran and proposed to take part in the stalled enrichment activities in a memorandum of understanding signed in December 2005. Japan's steel prices on the rise

Japan's stocks are declining.
"Nippon Steel Corp. and JFE Holdings Inc., Japan’s biggest steelmakers, fell more than 4 percent on a newspaper report Toyota Motor Corp. will ask for price cuts on the metal."
They are loosing money do to the rising prices of their steels and metals.


Staff Sgt Kim Hughes pleas for more troops


"If you give us more troops, we can form a counter-IED (improvised explosive device) taskforce to train ground troops better," Staff Sgt Hughes to Defense Minister Ainsworth of Britian. Clearly Britian, like America is beginning to beg for more troops to help end the war more quickly in Afghanistan. Not only has Hughes asked DM Ainswoth for more troops for Afghanistan but also to help the U.S. in Iran to help contain the "nuclear problem."

Many people in the US believe that Iran lacks the right equipment to create a nuclear weapon. Even though the US doesn't know if Iran intends to create a nuclear weapon, they are still keeping minimal surveillance on the country. Many western countries, including the US, believe that Iran is planning to secretly make nuclear weapons. Iran still claims that their plan is only for peaceful purposes, but its continued uranium enrichment activities have many Western countries suspicious.

Sub-Saharan Africa’s Per-Capita Income to Fall, IMF Forecasts

The per capita income in africa is said to decline for the first time in a decade. The country's largest economy will drop 2.2%. Growth will rebound to 4.1 percent in 2010 as global trade improves, the lender said.
